Regular exercise decreases your risk of developing dis-ease and illness. What does “regular” mean? Aim for 30 minutes every day. Include a variety of movements into your routine, including all the categories of activity I mentioned in my Beginner’s Guide to Exercise.
Here’s a short and sweet list of the benefits you may experience from incorporating regular exercise into your life:
- improved mood
- more energy
- reduced risk of disease (diabetes, cancer, hypertension, etc.)
- better sleep
- enhanced brain health

Of course, this is just an example. For some, this would be unrealistic; for others, it would be a simple incorporation into their daily routine. We must use our bodies in various ways that challenge our muscles and brain. Without physical health, it isn’t easy to focus on any other area of health in the Circle of Life.
